ATS Resume Checker
Find out if your resume actually survives the ATS
Applicant Tracking Systems parse your resume into fields and score it against a job posting before a person ever sees it. ATOLIQ's ATS Resume Checker shows you exactly where that parsing breaks down — and what to fix first.
What you get
- An ATS compatibility score based on real parsing behavior, not a guess
- A formatting audit — tables, columns, text boxes, and other parsing traps
- Keyword gap analysis against a specific job posting, when you provide one
- A ranked list of the fixes that move the score most
- Plain-language explanations, not just a score with no context
Why it matters
A resume can be genuinely strong and still never reach a recruiter if the ATS can't parse it correctly or the language doesn't match the posting. Most rejections at this stage have nothing to do with qualifications — they're a mechanical mismatch between how the resume is built and how the system reads it.
How it works
- 1. Upload your resume — PDF or DOCX, the same file you're sending to employers.
- 2. Paste a job posting (optional) — for a keyword match score against that specific role.
- 3. Get your ATS score and fix list — then use AI Resume Rewrite to apply the fixes automatically.
Common questions
What does an ATS actually check for?
Most ATS platforms parse your resume into structured fields (name, titles, dates, skills) and then score how closely the language in those fields matches the job posting. It's mostly literal keyword matching, not synonym matching — so a resume that says "programming languages" won't get credit for a posting asking for "Python."
Can formatting alone cause a rejection?
Yes. Tables, multi-column layouts, text boxes, and headers/footers cause parsing errors in a meaningful share of ATS platforms — sections can come through blank or scrambled even though the resume looks fine to a human. ATOLIQ's checker flags these specifically, separate from keyword issues.
What's the difference between this and a general resume analysis?
The ATS Resume Checker is focused specifically on parseability and keyword match against a target job — the mechanical pass/fail layer. Resume Analysis goes a level further and also evaluates writing quality, structure, and impact, not just ATS compatibility.
How fast is the check?
Under a minute. Upload your resume (and optionally a job description to match against), and you get an ATS score, a list of specific formatting issues, and the exact keywords you're missing.
